Terry Martin Rinker, 72, of Keyser peacefully went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born on July 18, 1949, he is the son of Elsie M. (Shoemaker) Rinker and the late Lawrence “Spud” Rinker.

Terry was a 1968 graduate of Keyser High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was stationed in Germany as a squad Leader-Missile Crewman. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Marksman M16. Terry attended the Mineral County Vocational Technical Center. He previously worked at Boggs Supply, William Bane, Anchor Glass for 21 years, and Cumberland Pipe and Steel. He retired from the WV Division of Highways.

Terry was an avid West Virginia fan. He enjoyed skiing, horses and helping family with everything. He loved attending the Swingin’ 60’s reunions. Terry and his wife Sue were married for 47 ½ years. They were each other’s best friends. Together they built their home, made many memories, shared their love for the outdoors and went deer hunting with their niece and nephew. They were blessed to travel throughout their years together. Sue cared for Terry until his last breath, he was loved, and will be missed by many.

Along with his mother, Elsie, Terry is also survived by his loving wife, Sue (Fazenbaker) Rinker; and his brother, Douglas Rinker and wife, Mary Jane of Bunker Hill. He is also survived by his extended family who loved him dearly, Paula Knott and husband, Donnie of LaVale, MD Kitty Wilson and husband, John “Turk” of Keyser, Gina Nesmith of Short Gap, Debbie Nesmith-SSS and husband Leo-Bro of Westernport and Gary Nesmith. Terry is survived by his nieces, Katlynn MacDonald and wife, Stephanie of Ft. Ashby; nephews, Logan Nesmith of Short Gap, Eric Rinker and wife, Stacey of Inwood; great nieces, Brooke Rinker and Destinee Heinrich; great nephew, Alexander Haines; and numerous cousins, good friends and good neighbors.
