Swanton,

Robert Edward “Bob” Arbogast, Sr., 78 of Swanton went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020.

Born on July 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Willard and Josephine (Tichnell) Arbogast.

Bob was a United States Navy Veteran, where he served as a radioman in Bermuda during the Vietnam War era. He retired from Westvaco as a beaterman on the number 5, 6 and 7 paper machines after 43 years. Bob faithfully served God and was an active member of the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God Church in Swanton for many years.

Bob, known by many as “Pepsi”, loved vehicles and was a Ford fanatic. He built many car engines and was able to come up with innovative ideas to build anything; he was a jack of all trades. Pepsi loved animals, especially his dogs and truly enjoyed the outdoors, being in the woods during the day and stargazing in the night. He enjoyed cutting wood and when logs were brought to him he told his family not to split them because he loved doing it himself. Pepsi was an avid weight lifter and liked to stay healthy and in shape. Most importantly, Pepsi was a family man; his family was his whole world. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Pap) and will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Ade Arbogast; his children, Bobbi Harman and husband, Joseph of Swanton, Carol Breeding and husband, Robin of Delaware, Robert Arbogast, Jr. of Keyser, Todd Arbogast and wife, Kristina of Virginia and Janet Bryan and husband, Tommy of Luke. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Vincent Harman, Corbin Bean and wife Connie, Collin Breeding, Caroline Breeding, Brandon Bryan and wife, Sarah, and Brooke Bryan; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madden and Manning Bean and Aden Bryan. Bob is also survived by his Aunt Wilda “Billie” Noonan and cousins Jim Noonan, Pat Murphy, Pam Birmingham, Tony Arbogast, Dean and Gerald Lawrence , and special friends Roger Tichnell, George Tichnell and the Wade family.

Due to current health concerns, the family has decided to have a private service on December 23, 2020 with no gathering following his burial.

He will be laid to rest next to his parents and grandparents at Walnut Bottom Cemetery, Swanton
