Rayma Ann McCarty,77 of Westernport passed away on September 13, 2022 at Egle Nursing and Rehab.

Born August 14, 1945, she was the daughter of Evelyn (Marsh) McCarty and the late Charles McCarty. She is also preceded in death by her sister-in-law Jeannie McCarty; and a nephew Lee McCarty.

Rayma was a lifelong and faithful member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport. She enjoyed attending George’s Creek Daycare, where she met many friends. Rayma never met a stranger, she was a good friend to everyone.

Along with her mother, Rayma is also survived by her siblings, Clyde McCarty and wife, Trudy, Richard McCarty and Charlene Paugh and husband David; a special nephew Michael Lashbaugh and wife Wenda; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and many friends at Egle Nursing and Rehab.

Friends will be received at the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport on Sunday, September 18th from 2 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Morris and Pastor Michael Lashbaugh officiating.

Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.

Rayma’s family is grateful to the staff at George’s Creek Daycare as well as the staff at Egle Nursing and Rehab for their kind and compassionate care shown to Rayma.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Stoney Run Baptist Church.
