Mildred "Millie" Lusby

Mildred “Millie” Lusby, 81 of Westernport, passed away on August 10, 2019 at Medstar Washington Medical Center.

Born April 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Pearl Hutchinson. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Doris; her daughters, Linda Brown and Barbara James; her son, Michael Lusby; and a grandson, Steven Briggs.

Mildred was known to many as “GiGi”. She was a dedicated Grandmother and she treasured her family, especially her great grandchildren.  She enjoyed listening to country music, watching her soaps and Lifetime movies, and playing cards. She was known as a stubborn, “tough old bird.”

Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Edith Briggs and Peggy Stewart; her son, Owen Lusby Jr.; Twelve grandchildren, Scotty, Cindy, Christina, Karen, Lance, Chelsea, Amanda, April, Dawn, Megan, Michael and Colin; and thirty-one great grandchildren.

Per Mildred’s request, she will be cremated and the family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
