Maryann Symons

Cumberland, MD

MaryAnn Symons, 63 of Cumberland and formerly Westernport passed away on September 17, 2021.

Born June 3, 1958, she was the daughter of the late William and Norma (Clark) Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel and Mary Ellen Clark; her brother, Dennis Carpenter, Sr.; and her in-laws, Joseph Sr. and Mary Kathryn Symons.

MaryAnn was a selfless person who always made you feel loved. She was the best Mom, she loved her family. MaryAnn enjoyed all holidays, her favorite was Christmas. She loved when it would snow, and she would even enjoy going on a snowy drive. MaryAnn was proud of going back to school later in life and pursuing a career as an LPN. MaryAnn was loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed. Until we meet again, 381.

MaryAnn is survived by her children, Jaime Johnson and husband, Jeremy, Joseph Symons III and girlfriend, Kendra, Jacki Boggs and husband, Michael and Casey Jo Green and husband Allan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Savannah Johnson, Chase Johnson and Natalie Boggs; siblings, Jeff Carpenter and wife, Melodie, Donna Farris and Andy and Julie Liller and husband, Mike. MaryAnn is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Joseph Symons, Jr., and special friends, David Hill, Vicky Brenneman and Esther Rubel.

MaryAnn will be cremated and family and friends will gather at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, September 25th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.

The family kindly asks that masks be worn at the funeral home and social distancing be observed.
