Mary Elliott

Mary G. “Janet” Elliott, 85, of Piedmont WV, passed away at Western Maryland Health Systems on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Born January 8, 1934, in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Moreland) Parker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Elliott and two brothers, Allen J and John M Parker Sr., of Westernport, MD.

Mrs. Elliott was retired from the State of Maryland Board of Education, as a cook for several different school systems.  She was also a long-time member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Westernport MD.

Janet leaves behind three sons, John J. Elliott and wife Nancy of Grantsville, MD; Donald W. Elliott Jr. and fiance Elaine of Keyser, WV; and Steven A. Elliott of Keyser, WV.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Christopher (Rachel) Elliott, Nichole (Chris) Gring, Kelli (Brandon) Frantz, Ashley Elliott; Shaina Paitzel, Michael (Amy), Joshua (Cassie), and Joseph Elliott; Joshua Hinkle, Steven Jr, Stacy, Katie, and James Elliott; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. Funeral services will take place after at 2 p.m.  with the Rev. Steffan Carr officiating.  Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport, MD.
