Leonard Biggs, 83, of Westernport passed away on November 29, 2021.
Born March 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Oliver “Buster” and Janet (Kerling) Biggs. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Biggs and Charles Biggs.
Leonard was a United States Army and a United States Coast Guard Veteran. He was employed out of the Ironworkers Union. At various times throughout his career he was the Vice President of the Ironworkers Union.
Leonard was an enthusiastic genealogist and family historian. He was on the Board of Directors of the Westernport Heritage Society and enjoyed working at the train station museum. Leonard was a faithful patron of the Westernport Library.
Leonard possessed the skill to strike up a conversation with anyone, he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his brothers, Jack Purves and Gary Biggs; and many extended family members and friends in the Tri-Towns area.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, December 3rd from 11 to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marybeth Chien officiating.
Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
