Obituary

James Edward Keller, 63, of Westernport, gained his wings on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Born on September 12, 1958, he was the son of Lois Jean Keller and the late Eugene “Buck” Keller, Sr. He is proceeded in death by his son, Justin Keller, father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Ruth Miller, brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sue Miller, sister-in-law, Margie Smith, his lifelong friend, Paul Westfall, and brother-in-law, Harry Walker, Sr.

Jimmy was employed at WRI and then went on to work at the paper mill where he retired in 2019. While enjoying his retirement, he taught his grandchildren, Aaron and Dustlyn, to garden and enjoy the outdoors. He loved to attend Dustlyn’s horse shows and was so excited for this upcoming show season to watch her with her own horse, Cinnamon. In the past, Jimmy liked to hunt but recently he loved watching the deer, turkeys, and bear around his home. He enjoyed spending time with this loyal companion, Bear. He also loved taking Dustlyn to the bakery every morning before he took her to school in his big red school bus.

Jimmy never met a stranger, he was always chatting with everyone.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruby Ann (Miller) Keller, daughters, Stacie Keller and son-in-law, Logan Rebar, and Alysa Keller and husband, Brandon Weir. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Dustlyn Rebar, who had him wrapped around her finger, and his grandson Aaron Keller, whom he dearly loved. Jimmy is also survived by his brother, Eugene Keller Jr and wife, Fanny, of the Philippines, John Keller and wife, Mandy of Barton and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, December 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. A service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Bob Foote officiating.
