James E. Hartman, 77, of Keyser, WV died on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, WV due to complications from COVID.
Born April 17,1943 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Genevieve and James (Les) Hartman .
Mr. Hartman also known as Jim was a 1961 graduate of Fort Ashby High School, and a long time resident of Westernport MD. He was a brick mason by trade, he worked on many buildings in the area including the breweries, glass plant and paper mill and also worked for the Allegany County Board of Education. He loved woodworking and watching sports.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia, four daughters, Annette Jennings and husband Dennis of Burlington, Carolyn Irons and husband Gary of Cumberland, Kimberly Rotruck and husband Craig of Keyser, Diane Yoder and husband Mark of Lakewood, one son, James C. Hartman of Waynesboro PA, five grandchildren, James Wills, Jennifer Wills, Derek Rotruck, Brad Rotruck, Madison Rotruck, Kylie (Yoder) Head and Marissa (Yoder) Rudin and three great-grandchildren Cambryn Rotruck, Brody Rotruck, Peyton Head, a sister Ruth Alt and niece Kara Anderson.
Per Mr. Hartman's wishes he will be cremated, Boal Funeral Home Westernport, MD is handling the arrangements.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
