Everett “Buck” Knott, 88 of Bloomington passed away on September 17, 2022

 

Born January 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Ellis and Katie (Penford) Knott. He was also preceded in death a son, Richard E. Knott; a daughter; Kathy Ann Knott; and a sister, Betty Raines.

 

Buck was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Westvaco as a maintenance foreman after 44 years of working there. Buck was a member of various organizations within the community; Victory Post 155, a 56 year member and Past Master of the Hiram Lodge #103 A.F. & A.M., the Ali Ghan Shrine Club, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Martha Washington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Piedmont Presbyterian Church. Buck was an avid golfer, at times he would golf at Mill Creek every day of the week.

 

Buck is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Patricia (Davis) Knott; daughter; Karen Cunningham; grandson, Jeffrey Cunningham; nephew Ocie Raines; and niece, Brenda Raines.

 

In accordance with his wishes, Buck will be cremated and no services will take place.

 

Mr. Knott is in the care of Boal Funeral Home, Westernport.
