Emogene Bosley, 71 of Westernport passed away on February 12, 2020 at the Winchester Medical Center.
Born August 31, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Martha (Rounds) Broadwater. She is also preceded in death her husband, John Paul Bosley; her brother, Lloyd “Bimbo” Broadwater; and her grandson, Josh Hinkle.
Emogene was employed as a cafeteria cook with the Allegany County Board of Education for 18 years, she loved interacting with all of the children that she had met. Emogene treasured Sunday dinners with her family at her sister Dot’s home. She appreciated when her nephew, Jimmy Carder when he would take her out for breakfast at the Royal in Keyser. She enjoyed her time spent at the McCoole VFW talking with her friends. Emogene loved Ford Mustangs, she had always owned one. Emogene had a big heart, she cherished her grandchildren and family, she would do anything for them.
Emogene is survived by her daughters, Lisa Wilt of Rawlings, Rhonda Knisley and husband, Rob of Capon Bridge, WV and Casey Bosley of Westernport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lane Keith, Jr., Tryp Keith, Liam Duckworth, Jeremiah Clem, Samantha Coleman, Marc Coleman II; and her nine great grandchildren. Emogene is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Carder and husband, Russell of Westernport, Ralph Broadwater and wife, Vanessa of Keyser, WV, Robert Broadwater of Maysville, WV, Chris Broadwater and wife, Kathy of Piedmont, WV, Carrie Murphy of Westernport; and her beloved dogs, Blue and Dixie.
Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Monday, February 17th from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 18th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marybeth Chien officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 12:00 p.m.
Interment will be at the Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
