Edward Riggins

Edward Brian Riggins, 56 passed away on June 21, 2021 after many years of health issues.

Born May 22, 1965, he was the son of Barbara (Bryan) Murphy and the late Edward K. Riggins. Brian was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tracy and Wilda Riggins of Luke and John and Emma Bryan of Luke.

Brian was a 1983 graduate of Keyser High School, where he participated in the marching band. He previously worked at the Potomac Highlands Guild as a direct support professional and Tri-State Memorial Company. Brian was a good friend to everyone, always putting others before himself. He was a kind hearted and caring person. Brian will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Along with his mother, Barbara Murphy of Westernport, he is also survived by his siblings, Rae Ann McGhee and husband, Leonard of Foley AL, and Wade Riggins and wife, Barbara of Clarksville, VA. Brian is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jessica Tranum and her children, Marissa, Brayden and Maleah of Westernport, Jimmy Wilson and wife, Chandra and their children, Kyiah, Atalie and Ryler of Westernport, Zachary Riggins of Richmond, VA, and  Taylor Carroll and husband, DJ of Richmond, VA.

In accordance with his wishes, Brian will be cremated.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, June 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service honoring Brian will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Forbes officiating.
