Christopher "Chris" Barcase

November 29, 1984 — November 21, 2022

Keyser, West Virginia

Christopher Scott “Chris” Barcase, 37 of Keyser died Monday, November 21, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

Born November 29, 1984, in Cumberland MD, he was the son of Jeffrey Barcase and wife Lisa of Westernport, MD and Kimberly Muir and fiancé Ray of Everett, PA.

Most recently Chris worked for Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield. He was a member of the Keyser Moose Lodge 662.

Chris was loving, kind, generous, compassionate, and hardworking. Chris had a lot of hunting and fishing stories, if you ever had the chance to hear any of them, his measurements could be a bit exaggerated. He liked to hunt ginseng and mushrooms and of course liked to eat them. He worked for a logging company in PA for a period of time and enjoyed that line of work. Chris loved get togethers no matter the occasion. He was a people person, he loved his family, extended family and friends. Chris could be entertaining and quite the character, he was loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Along with his parents, Chris is survived by his loving, caring and devoted sister, Melissa Nesselrodt (Rob) New Creek; loving niece, Alexa Junkins (Josh) New Creek; loving nephew, Chase Nesselrodt (girlfriend Dana) Keyser; loving maternal grandparents Stanley and Shirley Muir, Hopewell PA; and his girlfriend Kerry Sudine, Keyser.

Chris is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Gregory and Elizabeth “Betty” Barcase; and paternal great grandparents Clarendon and Anna Pearl Davis.

Family and friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, November 27th from 1 to 4 p.m.

A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 4:00 p.m.
