Christa Cheshire

Christa Ann Cheshire (Lambert) passed away peacefully on August 11, 2019 at Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing, MD.

Christa was born on October 18, 1945 in Piedmont, WV to Calvin and Edith Lambert.  She was a graduate of Piedmont High School and was a stay at home mom for much of her life until she went to work at the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles after leaving the DMV, Christa worked at Frostburg State University in the ID services office until 2007 when she joined her husband Gary in retirement.

Christa was involved for many years in the Bruce High Band Boosters, she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and she was involved in various activities within the Westernport community.  She also thoroughly enjoyed being with each of her grandchildren.

Christa is survived by her husband Gary Cheshire; a daughter and son and their spouses: Wendy and Jim Talbott (Bridgewater, MA) and Jason and Carla Cheshire (Frostburg, MD); 4 grandchildren, Calvin Talbott and Lauren Talbott, Dylan Cheshire and Gabriella Cheshire.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, by her sister Joan Biggs and her brother David Lambert.

At the request of the family, a memorial service for Christa will be held at a later time.
