Charles Robert “Bob” Green passed away on November 19, 2022.
Born October 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Ira O. and Elizabeth J. (Robertson) Green. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Crump) Beal Green; siblings, Ellsworth Green, Lois Clark and Bonnie Warnick; step-son, Lester Beal; and son-in-law, Ersal John “Jack” Shewbridge.
Bob was a member of the Barton Presbyterian Church where he previously held the position as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Barton Lodge I.O.O.F. Bob retired from Kelly Springfield in 1986.
Bob was an avid fisherman, bird watcher, camper and overall outdoorsman. He enjoyed trekking into the woods on his four-wheeler hunting mushrooms. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed puzzles of any kind. Bob was a lover of history and showed interest in Abraham Lincoln.
Bob is survived by his children, Karen Meyers and husband Richard, Scott Green and wife Debbie, Diane Garrison and husband Walter; and step daughter-in-law, Gloria Beal. He is also survived by his grandchildren, EJ Shewbridge and wife Becky, James Garrison and wife Misha, Teresa Garrison, Mark Green, Michael Beal and family, and Summer (Beal) Clark and family; and a great granddaughter, Naomi Garrison. Bob is survived by his brother Darius Green and family; and special friends, Joe Schramm and Lois Hadley and family.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Saturday, November 26th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Morgan officiating.
Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
