Carol Ann (Warnick) Riley, of Bloomington, went “home home” to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Charles on Monday, January 24, 2022

Born on December 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Cotton” Warnick and Eva “Murph” (McDowell) Warnick Rosier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Riley; stepdad, Garland Rosier; two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Warnick and Mike Warnick, a sister Beverly Lipscomb, and a daughter-in-law Janet Riley.

Carol graduated in 1952 from Bruce High School. She was a 73 year member of the Bloomington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She spent her life serving God as a member of Bloomington Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and along with her husband raised her children.

Carol was a kind-hearted person with a sweet soul. She was “Nan” to many within the Bloomington community. She loved her family more than anything, they were her whole world. She will be greatly missed by her family and anyone who knew her.

She leaves behind three children, Terry Riley of Rawlings, Gary Riley and wife Susie of Barton, and Sandi Cottrell and husband Larry of Bloomington; and her sister Sandra Buckley of Clear Spring.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Tiffany Rowe and husband Marty, Misty Felton and husband Steve, Tara Cottrell and Sohn, Jennifer Hollenberg and husband Adam, Brittany White and husband Justin, Tyler Cottrell, Shanna James and Scott, Larry Cottrell II and wife Liz, and Jen Cottrell. She also leaves behind eighteen great grandchildren Alexa and husband Ryan, Hannah, Riley, Ezra, Erin, Isabelle, Sophia, Caleb, Caden, Shiana, Lydia, Adalyn, Dylan, Aidan, Parker, Kaleigh, and Aliyah; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and Family will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, January 28th from 4 to 8 PM. The Bloomington Ladies Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, January 29th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Betty Ann Aronhalt, Marty Rowe and Steve Felton officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at 12 noon.

Pallbearers will be Carol’s grandsons and great grandsons.

Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery.
