Audrey Nolan

Audrey Rodriguez Nolan, 109, of Luke, MD, passed away on January 19, 2022 at her residence.

Born December 27, 1912 in Pena del Rey, Spain, she was the daughter of the late Jose Rodriguez de Rodriguez and Carolina Cuervo Campa Rodriguez. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Gabriel Nolan; three sisters, Olive Alvarez and husband, Joseph, Eloise Ack and husband, William, and Col. of the Army Nurse Corp, Mrs. Banna I. Ghioto and husband, Wilford Ghioto; and two brothers, Joseph “Jake” Rodriguez, and Dr. Manuel A. Rodriguez.

Audrey is survived by her nephews, Todd Ack and wife, Kim of Berkley Springs, WV, Dr. Marino Alvarez and wife, Dr. Victoria of Florida and their son, Christopher of Florida, and also Dr. Rey Rodriguez and wife, Vivian, of Pasadena, CA, and Eloy Rodriguez and wife, Angela, of Ridgecrest, CA, as well as numerous other nephews and nieces.

Audrey was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Westernport, Maryland. Audrey was a 1931 graduate of Bruce High School and attended Catherman’s Business School in Cumberland. She was the secretary at Bruce High School for 17 years, and also the secretary at Westvaco Corporation for 31 years at the Pulp Mill office for the Pulp Mill Superintendent. She was a member of the Bruce High School Alumni Association and served as president of the association for two years. She was also a member of the Algonquin Chapter of the National Secretaries Association, where she served as president of the chapter.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 24th at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport from 4 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, Westernport on Tuesday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Westernport, Maryland.
