Wayne Michael

Wayne Michael, 91 of Westernport passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born January 18, 1933, he was the son of Howard and Eloise (Dolan) Michael. Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Monta Jean Howe, son-in-law, Don Herman; daughter-in-law; Donna Michael; grandson, Jack Mullen III; and great grandson, Wyatt Herman.

Wayne was a loving and devoted husband, dad and pap. He was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont. Wayne retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier after 40 years of employment.  

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen (Wilhelm) Michael; his children David Michael, Robin Spiker and husband Barry, and Lisa Herman. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Annie Barclay and husband Matt, Mariah Rayner and husband Tyler, Morgan Spiker and fiancé Tyler Evans, January Diamond and husband Andrew, Mandy Buckholtz and husband Ed, Jason Herman and wife Jenny, and Chris Herman and wife Chelsea. Wayne is survived by his great grandchildren, Michael, Grant, Callen, Colt, Evie, Everett, Cameron, Andrew, Connor, Madison and Hailey; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, April 23^rd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 24^th at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, WV at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport
