Wanda “Toots” Elizabeth (Virts) Taylor, 86, of Swanton passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born October 30, 1928 in Barnum, W.Va, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Velma (Warnick) Virts. Wanda was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Curtis E. Taylor, who passed away in 2010.

Wanda was a graduate of Bruce High School and Catherman's Business School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing the piano, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She attended Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Swanton.

Surviving Wanda are her three sons, Stanley E. Taylor and wife Darlene, Allan L. Taylor and wife Robin and Donald W. Taylor and wife Dianna, all of Swanton; one sister, Shirley Tichnell; eight grandchildren, Stacy Taylor, Shelley Wilt and husband Jesse, Tim Taylor and wife Elizabeth, Curt Taylor and wife Ashley, Drew Taylor, Derek Taylor, Donnie Taylor Jr. and fiance Aaryn Hare and David Taylor and wife Kara. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Joshua Conroy, Easton and Ashlyn Wilt, Colton Taylor and Adalynn Taylor.

Friends and family will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.

Interment will be at Garrett Memorial Gardens in Oakland.
