Virginia M. “Ginny” Flick, 88, of Westernport Road, Westernport, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
Born November 2, 1927 in Luke, she was the daughter of the late John Russell and Emma (Lyons) Bryan Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Darwin L. Flick, a sister, Betty Wise, and a brother, Jack Bryan.
“Ginny” was a 1945 graduate of Bruce High School. She was a bookkeeper for many years with various companies throughout the area. She was an avid bowler and bingo player and a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church, Piedmont, WV.
She leaves behind a daughter, Darlene Thomas and husband Bill of Keyser, WV, a sister, Barbara Murphy of Westernport, two grandsons, Mark Thomas of Elkins, WV, and Dr. Scott Thomas and wife Paula of Keyser, WV, and a great grandson, Lennon Thomas of Keyser, WV.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, June 28th from 6 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday, June 29th from 12 PM to 1 PM.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 29th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Tom Forbes officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
