Valerie Rose Knisley

Valerie Rose (Stephen) Knisley, 68, of Keyser passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023.

Born July 20, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Olin and Rosaline (Nelson) Stephen, Barton, MD. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joann Hyde.

Valerie graduated with the Valley High School class of 1972. She had once worked at the Celanease, Greens Restaurant, R & J’s and was a CNA at Moran Manor. She was a member of a couple of social clubs within the Tri-towns community.
Valerie loved the outdoors, sitting on the porch, camping, relaxing at the river or on a beach at the ocean.  She also enjoyed cooking.

Valerie is survived by her daughter Melody Knisley; her granddaughter, who was her whole world, Summer Rose Knisley; siblings, Wayne Stephen and wife Linda and Sandra Bennett and husband Ed; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services at this time. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Bloomington VFD Ladies Auxiliary, 77 North Branch Ave, Bloomington, MD or to Melody Knisley at 57 Leota Street, Fort Ashby, WV 26719.

Ms. Knisley is in the care of Boal Funeral Home, Westernport.
