In Loving Memory of Tonya Renee (Wilhelm) Dye February 3, 1976 – July 25, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tonya Renee (Wilhelm) Dye. Born on February 3, 1976, in Cumberland, Maryland, to Michael Wilhelm and Wendy (Clark) Miller.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James E. “Jimbo” Dye Jr., the love of her life. They met when Tonya was just 13 years old and spent the next 37 years together, sharing 30 years of marriage built on love, friendship, and unwavering commitment.

She is also survived by her children, Logan Dye (Brittany), Makaylee Dye (Alex), and Chloe Hicks (Austin), who were the pride of her life.

Nothing brought Tonya more joy than being “Grandma.” She cherished her grandchildren, Rylin, Raelynn, Josie, Brynlee, Elaina, Wylder, Maddox, Beau, and Greyson, who will arrive this Fall.

She is also survived by her sisters, Tina Laudato (Mike) and Terri Colmer; her sisters-in-law, Melissa Banner (Ben) and Shelly Stowell (Frank); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tonya had a gift for bringing people together. She was an incredible cook, and one of her greatest joys was preparing meals that filled both hearts and homes. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and love.

A true fighter, Tonya faced life’s greatest challenges with remarkable courage and determination. Through it all, she continued to love fiercely, put her family first, and create lasting memories. Her strength inspired everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved maternal grandparents, Beryl & David (junior) Clark. Paternal grandparents, Laura (Durst) & Scott Wilhelm. Her special Aunt Carol (Wilhelm) Beeman, and her father-in-law, James Dye Sr.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Tonya’s love, kindness, and strength will live on through the family she cherished. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her resilience, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
