Tom Spiker, 63, of Dutch Row, Lonaconing, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born September 28, 1955 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Harrison and Ida (Smiley) Spiker. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Parker and Nancy Bray, and brothers, James and Robert Spiker.
Tom was a graduate of Bruce High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator for various coal mining operations in the area, before eventually retiring from the Lions Center, Cumberland.
He leaves behind his wife, Cindy (Poland) Spiker, two sons, Curtis and Andrew Spiker both of Lonaconing, two sisters, Betty Moses and husband Charles and JoAnn Spiker and husband David both of Lonaconing, a brother, Carl Spiker and wife Shirley of Oakland, and a brother-in-law, Donald Bray of Westernport.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday, July 7th from 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, July 8th at 11:00 AM, with Pastor David Schoch officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
