Thomas Edward Heffner, 17, of Spruce St, Westernport, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
Born November 23, 1996 in Baltimore, he was the son of John and Catherine Heffner of Westernport.
Thomas was a senior at Mountain Ridge High School and the Allegany County Career Center. He was a participant in Project Y.E.S. and also competed in the Skills USA competition. He did volunteer work at the Tri-State Zoo, and also volunteered at the career center to raise funds for the school, and helped with Special Olympics. When he lived in Baltimore he was an alter server for his church.
In addition to his parents, John and Catherine, he leaves behind his sister, Jennifer Lynn Heffner at home.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM. A celebration of Thomas’s life service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 8:00 PM.
Interment will be at a later date in Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore.
