Terry Moses, 59 of Lonaconing went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2014.

Born on November 20, 1954 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Charles and Esther (Wilson) Moses. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Earl Moses.

Mr. Moses was a graduate of Valley High School, Lonaconing. He was a member of the Family Worship Center. He was employed for 23 years, 1976 to 1999, as a Park Ranger at Dan’s Mountain and Rocky Gap State Parks. Mr. Moses was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Allegany Lodge #48. His favorite pastime was sitting at Powell’s Gas Station in his chair by the window. He also enjoyed cars, wrestling and yard sales.

He is survived by his wife, best friend and love of his life for 37 years, Joanna “Annie” (McKenzie) Moses. He is survived by his daughters; Paula Cheshire and husband Matt of Elkins, WV, Kari Moses and fiancé Joey Broadwater of Barton, Jennifer Shumaker and husband Shawn of Lonaconing; grandchildren, Ashli Cheshire, Dane Blackburn, Paige Yorio, Lauren “Lulu” Cheshire, Brianna “Breezy” Seaman, Kaylee Goode, Tyson Shumaker; and great grandchildren, Liam Blackburn and Carter Yorio. Mr. Moses is also survived by his siblings; Charles R “Pooch” Moses and wife Betty of Lonaconing, Kathy Fatkin and husband David of Virginia Beach, VA, Sherry “Sho” Speis and husband Jim of Cumberland; a sister-in-law Barbara Moses of Lonaconing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At. Mr. Moses’ request, his body will be cremated. A memorial service for his wife and daughters will be planned for a later date.
