Susan “Michele” Radcliffe, 69, of Keyser, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 16, 1956, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Waymond Gerald Radcliffe and Glena Phyllis Stark. Michele was the third of five siblings. She is survived by her brothers Craig Radcliffe and wife Linda of Burlington, WV; Mark Radcliffe and wife Susie of Keyser, WV; sister Sheila Radcliffe and husband Randy Nelson of Solomon’s Island, MD; and her youngest brother David Radcliffe and wife Kathy, who recently moved from San Diego, CA to Texas.
She was a1975 graduate of Keyser High School, Michele was a proud member of the marching band and served as a majorette. She later attended the Tri-State Beauty Academy and went on to work many years at the local garment factory, Farley’s Foodland, and McDonald’s in Bel Air, Maryland and Keyser, West Virginia. She was also a dedicated member of the Alkire Chapter #10 Order of the Eastern Star and International Order of the Rainbow For Girls.
In the early 2000s, Michele was an active member of the West Virginia Ghost Society. She participated in belly dancing classes, loved singing and writing songs, riding in the big black truck and found joy in spending time with her family, crocheting, reading, and playing her guitar for nursing homes and church gatherings. As a talented crocheter, she made countless blankets to keep others warm. She filled her journals with her thoughts, songs, and reflections.
In 2023, Michele renewed her faith and began attending Tidwell Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas, virtually alongside her daughter, under the guidance of Pastor Brad LaFavers. She carried her Bible with her everywhere she went, and her faith brought her comfort and strength.
Michele is survived by her two daughters, Yvonne (Radcliffe) Alegria and husband Sal of Dallas, Texas, and Margie (Radcliffe) Delawder and husband Danny of Burlington, West Virginia. She was the proud grandmother of six: Matthew Sigley and wife Stormy of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Brad Sigley and wife Lauren, also of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dixie and Daisy Delawder of Keyser, West Virginia; Finn Michael and Jordan Nicholas. She also leaves behind three cherished great-grandsons: Henry Sigley, Ronan and Archer Keiper; several cousins, nieces, nephews and her sweet loving cat LucyLu.
Michele’s warmth, creativity, and faith touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, 19006 Legislative Road, Barton, MD on Saturday, October 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 1:00 p.m.
