Shirley Bosley

Shirley Marie Bosley, 67, of Bloomington, passed away January 2, 2014 at her residence.

Born July 1, 1946 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Della (O’Neil) Miller. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Bosley; brothers, Calvin, Norman, Raymond and Paul Miller; and a sister Mary Catherine Miller.

Mrs. Bosley was a member of the Bloomington United Methodist Church She was a homemaker who helped in raising her grandchildren. She was a giving person and always there to help.

She is survived by her son, Shane Bosley and wife Tina of Bloomington; granddaughters, Kelsey Bosley, Jordan Bosley and Kirstin Brashear; great-granddaughter Gabriella Jackson; brothers, Dave Lee Miller and wife Wilma of Barton, Jim Miller of Cumberland; a sister-in-law Doris Miller of Barton; and many nieces and nephews.

At Mrs. Bosley’s request she will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held in Mrs. Bosley’s honor at the Bloomington United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Gary Rankin officiating. At the conclusion of the service a dinner will be held at the Bloomington Fire Hall.

Mrs. Bosley’s family would like to thank Eloise Tichnell, Viviane McDowell and other friends and family for everything they have done for the family at this time of need. Thank you to Garrett County Hospice and Allegany County Home Health nurses and volunteers for all of their loving care. Also, special thank you to the Schwab Cancer Center and Dr. Yin for their compassionate care and support during Shirley’s long battle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bloomington United Methodist Church Chime fund or Garrett County Hospice.
