Shawn Ervin McGinnis, 51, passed away July 7, 2014 at his home in Westernport, Md. Shawn was born December 23, 1962 in Town of Porter, New York to Gerald and Betty Lou (Myers) McGinnis. He graduated from Bruce High School in 1981.
He was an avid hunter and fishermen and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Redmen Club in Westernport and also loved football with the Redskins being his favorite team. He had a passion for Harley's and Eagles and is now riding high in the sky with an Eagle by his side.
Shawn was proceeded in death by his parents Gerald and Betty McGinnis; his sister Twila McGinnis and brother Bill McGinnis. Shawn is survived by his daughter Shawna McGinnis of Westernport, Md; Jarrett McGinnis and his wife Jessica McGinnis of Burlington, WV; his granddaughters Kira Andrews; Renezamae Sites and his grandson Kylyr McGinnis. Also surviving are numerous relatives and Friends.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church Keyser, WV on Monday July 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The family will be present for greeting of friends and relatives of Shawn.
