Sharon Ann Moore, 73 of Barton, MD went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 28th, 2014 at home.  She fought a long and hard battle to earn her angel wings.

Born May 31st, 1941 she was the daughter of Ruth Kathleen (Kidwell) DeShong and the late Harry Nelson DeShong.  She was also preceded in death by a brother Edward L. DeShong and a sister Karen E. Preston.  In addition she was preceded in death by two husbands Donald P. Preston and William H. Moore.

Sharon was a graduate of Valley High School the class of 1959.  She worked the majority of her life until retirement as a Family Preservation employee for Allegany County Department of Social Services.

She is survived by her mother Ruth Kathleen DeShong, Mill Run.  She is also survived by a daughter RoxAnn Martin and husband John, Frostburg, son Greg Preston and wife Shelley, Midland, her loving care giver and son Randy Preston, Barton, daughter Shannon Thomas and husband Steve, Barton.  She is survived by six grandchildren Nicole Martin, Ashley Martin, Keith Preston and wife Corrie, Andrew Preston, Steven Thomas II and Natasha Thomas.  Also, she has two great-grandchildren Ethan and Kylie Preston that she leaves behind.  She is also survived by a very special friend of many years Harry Miller, Barton.  In addition she is survived by her brother Gary N DeShong and wife Linda, Mill Run. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Thursday, October 30th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st at the funeral home at 1p.m. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery Moscow Mills.
Pall bearers will be: Steve Thomas, John Martin, Dale Preston, Johnnie Preston, Pat McGreevy, Chuck Grove and honorary pall bearer Harry Miller.
At her request Jeanie Marple will be singing Amazing Grace at the service.
