Sandra Anne Bateson, 60, of Rt. 6 Keyser, passed away Friday March 28, 2014 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born February 13, 1954 in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Duane and Jennie Mae (Metz) Trenum.
Sandra was a 1972 graduate of Bruce High School, Westernport, MD, and was a graduate of the Allegany College of Nursing, Cumberland, MD. She had previously worked at Potomac Valley Hospital and at other locations throughout the area.
She leaves behind her husband, Cecil “Lane” Bateson, two daughters, Andrea Vance and husband Duke of Keyser, Renee Bateson and husband James McDade of Fayetteville, NC, two brothers, Duane Trenum of Moorefield, Wayne Trenum of Keyser, and one sister, Cora “Cookie” Groden and husband John of Barton, MD. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Bret Vance, Lily Vance and Lorelei Vance, and several nieces and nephews.
At Sandra’s request her body was cremated, and there will be no visitation or services.
