Sally Ann Phillips, 87, of Cumberland passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 4, 2025.
Born July 9, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Irwin and Marie (Blackburn) Lyons. She was also preceded in death by a baby boy; and her sister, Peggy Harrison.
Sally was employed by the state of Maryland as a direct care worker, and was employed at the Brandenburg Center for more than thirty years. Sally enjoyed camping and traveling, but what she treasured most was time spent with her family and friends. She embraced life with love and enthusiasm; she truly lived life to the fullest. Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sally was cherished by many and will by deeply missed by all who loved her.
Sally is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Phillips; her children, Robin Frye-Yazdani, William D. Frye, Jr., Penny Davis and husband Jimmy, and Margie Jeffries and husband BJ; and her grandchildren, Sarah Yazdani, Leah Marie Yazdani, Hannah Yazdani, Hailey Trainello, Matthew Snyder, JT Davis, Brandon Davis, Peyton Snyder, Gracie Brehm, Jake Jeffries, Mason Jeffries, Ava Jeffries, Nate Jeffries and Wes Jeffries. Sally is also survived by her great grandchildren, Summer Hartley, Lauren Trainello, Addie Davis, Saylar Davis, Jaxton Snyder and Kaseton Snyder. Sally had special friends, Mary Clare Crable, Norma McKenzie, Carol Moore, Amy Sell, Dave and Brenda Collins, Chuck Lowery, Bruce Brown, numerous other friends and her Friday After 5 friends.
Per her wishes, Sally will be cremated. Boal Funeral Home, Westernport assisted the family with arrangements.
