Russell T. Fisher

Russell T. Fisher, 86, formerly of Piedmont, WV, passed away on February 23, 2026 in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Born May 30, m1940, Russell grew up in Piedmont and graduated in 1958 from St. Peter’s High School in Westernport, MD. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg and served in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his son, John M. Fisher; a grandson, Christian; and his brother, Eugene Fisher.

He is survived by Grace Fisher; a daughter, Tammy Fisher; and a son, Russell, Jr and his wife Tina. He has four grandchildren, Sean, Marianna, Annette, and Russell the 3rd; four great grandchildren, Carter, Audrey, Violet and Samuel; Two sisters, Dorothy Maricle, and Jane Foxx.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Parish- St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Westernport, MD.

Burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Westernport will take place following the mass.
