Ruby Hardman

Ruby Hardman, 84 of Barton passed away on May 19, 2022 at her residence with her loving family at her side.

Born June 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Violet (Forbeck) Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hardman, Sr.; granddaughter, Amanda Hardman; brother, Robert Smith; and sister, Patty Bridges.

Ruby appreciated ceramics, crafting and going fishing. She enjoyed gardening and canning her harvests from the garden. Whether an animal was big or small, she adored all of them.

Ruby was a loving mother. She was a homemaker and raised her five children. In the final years of her life she fought the good fight. She fought like a solider and kept hanging on. She is loved and will be greatly missed.

Ruby is survived by her children, Deborah Brode and husband Butch, Robert Hardman, Jr. and wife Kathy, Samuel Hardman, Shirley Miller and husband Ray and Terry Hardman and wife Vicki. She is also survived by her brother, James Smith and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per Mrs. Hardman’s wishes, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the UPMC Western Maryland Hospice.
