Ronald Edward Wiltison Sr, 84, Swanton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Garrett Regional Medical Center.
Born August 4, 1938 in Westernport, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Cecil Wiltison and Cecilia Patricia Wiltison (Mills). Two brothers, William and Stephen Wiltison, preceded him in death.
Ronald retired from Westvaco after 43 years. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He spent 17 years in the Army Reserve, was a member of Westernport Potomac Fire Co. No 2 for 25 years, and was also a member of 40 years at the Victory Post 155 American Legion. He was also an Active Life Member of Westernport Heritage Society, and a member of the Black Hawk Tribe 131 Redman.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Reeves Wiltison; four sons, Ronald Jr. and wife Sally, Sebastian, FL; Todd and wife Mitzi, Swanton, MD; Michael and wife Darlene, New Creek, WV; and Christopher and wife Billie, Oakland, MD. His brothers, Charles, John, Tom, and Gary Wiltison, and his sister, Dawn Streets, also survive him.
Ron was very proud of his sons who blessed him with 8 grandchildren, Trae, Adam, Hannah, Brittney, Chelsea, Katie, Alani, and Riley, and 3 great granddaughters, Payton, Maevery, and Kira.
Friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, August 13th from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be directed to the Westernport Heritage Society.
