Ronald Wayne Bean, 76, of Wood Street, Westernport, passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at his residence.
Born April 11, 1938 at Cross, WV., he was the son of the late Arthur and Viola (Paugh) Bean. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Bean Jr.
Ron was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. He retired from Schmidt Baking Company, Cumberland, and after retirement also worked at Roderick’s Furniture, Westernport.
He leaves behind his wife, Brenda (Raines) Bean; a son, Brian Bean of Martinsburg, WV; two grandchildren, Abraham Arthur Bean and Courtney Dale Elizabeth Bean. He is also survived by two brothers, Norris Bean of Winchester,VA, Marvin Bean of Pomeroy, Ohio and two sisters, Betty Kitzmiller of Cumberland, and Norma Welton of Oldtown.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, November 14, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Greg Hammond officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Tri=Towns Ambulance Service, Westernport.
