Roger Mayhew

Roger Dale Mayhew, 57, of Paxton St, Piedmont, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Born May 6, 1955 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Larry Mayhew Jr. and the late Pauline (House) Mayhew.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Mayhew.

Roger was an avid hunter, fisherman and all around sportsman.

He leaves behind a son, Roger Dale Mayhew II and wife Rosemary of Mannington, a daughter, Sabrina Maria Ketterman and husband Kirk of Westernport, MD, three brothers, Larry Mayhew, Robert Mayhew and Johnnie Mayhew all of Piedmont, four sisters, Victoria Holder of York, PA, Barbara Spangler and husband Jim of Mt. Wolf, PA, Karen Mayhew and husband Raymond of Dover, PA, and Robin Dillon of New Freedom, PA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elizabeth and Adrian Ketterman, and Chelsa, Michaela, Dakota and William.

As per Roger’s wishes, his body was cremated.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday, January 12th 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.  Friends and family will be received one hour prior to service from 10 to 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boal Funeral Home, 111 Church St, Westernport, MD 21562, to help defray any funeral expenses.
