Robert G. “Zeke” Pearce, 76 of Westernport passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side on September 3, 2020.
Born March 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Ray and Verda (DeWitt) Pearce. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Ronald Pearce, niece, Laura Lee Saville, brother-in-law, Mutt Hanlin and sister-in-law, Margaret Riggleman.
Zeke was a 1962 graduate of Bruce High School. He was a proud Army Veteran, having served from 1965 to 1967. Zeke was retired from NewPage after working in the maintenance department for 37 years. He was a member of the Piedmont Legion Post 52 and the FOP Lodge #40 in LaVale. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, and going to yard sales and flea markets and looking for antiques. Zeke had a passion for Chevrolet vehicles and had a passion for keeping them spotless no matter what the weather would be. Zeke recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to the love of his life, Jo Ann.
Zeke is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Pearce and his son and best friend, Robert M. Pearce of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his brother, Billy Pearce of Westernport, several nieces and nephews and very special friends, Harold and Clinton Bradley.
Family and friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, September 6th form 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
