Robert McKinley Trenum Sr., 79, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Westernport, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born April 30, 1935 in Franklin, he was the son of the late William McKinley and Hazel Viola (Evans) Trenum. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Trenum Jr., three sisters, Emily Michaels, Anna Bishop, and Angeline Fazenbaker. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
“Bob” was a retired plumber, having worked at L & M Plumbing and Heating for 20 years, before establishing Trenum Plumbing and Heating which he ran for 15 years. He was a member of Potomac Fire Company, Westernport, a member of the former Knights of Pythias Lodge, Piedmont, WV, and a member of the Piedmont Church of God.
He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Mae (Green) Trenum, his children, Robert Trenum Jr. (Norma) of McCoole, Vivian Stefan (Michael) of Friendsville, Rhonda Clark (Lonzy) of Westernport, Roger Trenum (Shari) of Westernport, and Lawrence Trenum (Sherry) of Lonaconing. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angie Nash (Tee) of Rawlings, Chrissy Crossland (Jeff) of Rawlings, Robbie Trenum (Melissa) of Virginia, Crystal Clark, April Woolard, Josh Clark, all of Westernport, Megan Trenum of Frostburg, Larry Trenum Jr. of Burlington, WV, Tiaria Trenum of Westernport, Angel Trenum, Ross Trenum, both of Lonaconing, and Andy Wooton of Cumberland, and nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Ada Kittle and Pastor Dave Cowan officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
