Robert Richards

Robert Richards, 89 of Westernport passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 to be with his Valentine and love of his life, Lillian.

Born November 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Loran and Toleda (Nethken) Friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Richards; and his siblings, James Richards and Joan Wright.

Bob was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from Westvaco, where he worked in the woodyard. Bob was known as the neighborhood handyman, he was able to fix anything. Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and playing cards.

Bob is survived by his children, Cindy Wilson and husband, Jim of Ohio, Robert Richards and wife, Ruth of Hagerstown, John Richards and wife, Karen of Hagerstown, Kim Lee and husband, Blair of Westernport; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, February 18thfrom 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.

Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery, Westernport.
