Robert James Eaton, 93, formerly of Savage River Road, Swanton, and most recently of Frostburg Village Nursing Center, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at the nursing center.
Born February 18, 1922 in Walton, New York, he was the son of the late James F. and Lydia A. (Seward) Eaton. He was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Eaton.
Mr. Eaton was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II. He retired from Westvaco Corp, having worked in the instrument shop. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Westernport.
He leaves behind his wife, Pauline (Wilt) Eaton of Frostburg Assisted Living Center, formerly of Savage River, two sons, Lynn Eaton of Baltimore, and Dale Eaton and wife Betty of Swanton, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, August 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Westernport, on Wednesday, August 12th at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Sally Bartling officiating.
Interment will be in Murphy Cemetery, Dry Run.
