Robert Thomas Duckworth, 67, of Moran Manor Nursing Center, formerly of Stoney Run Road, Westernport, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born May 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert Arthur and Sylvia E. (Clark) Duckworth.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marie (Guinn) Duckworth, a sister, Darlene Duckworth and a brother, Terry Duckworth.

Bob was formerly employed as a coal miner and eventually retired from Cumberland Pipe and Steel.  He enjoyed playing guitar and other instruments, fishing and hunting.  He was an all around handyman, working on cars and his tractor.

Bob loved his family and was a great husband, father, and grandfather as he leaves behind two sons, Robert Duckworth of Westernport, Thomas Duckworth and wife Tracey of Westernport, two daughters, Carolyn Ridenour and husband Irvin of McCoole, Donna McMillan and husband John of Westernport, one brother, Jerry Duckworth and wife Diane of Keyser, WV, six sisters, Delores Shillingburg of Cross, WV, Linda Shillingburg and husband Floyd of South Carolina, Sarah Mason of Midland, Cathy Kimble and husband Kenny of Keyser, WV, Jane Podgurski and husband Bob of Hampstead, and Vicky Morris and husband Craig of Westernport.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cheyanne Duckworth, Dustin Ridenour and wife Tanis of Keyser, WV, Heather Ridenour and boyfriend, Zach Robinson of McCoole, John McMillan Jr., Skylynn McMillan, Tommy Duckworth, and Zachary Duckworth, all of Westernport.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
