Robert Eugene “Rambo” Cavey, 75, of Rt. 1, Keyser, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born January 19, 1940 at Cross, he was the son of the late Andrew Francis and Mary Ellen (Lee) Cavey. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (Riley) Cavey, and two sisters, Helen Hamilton and Norma Lee Umstot.
“Rambo” was a retired coal miner, having worked for Masteller Coal Company. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed wild game feeds and gun bashes. He also loved spending time with his family, especially cookouts.
He leaves behind his second wife, Mernie (Reed) Cavey, five daughters, Tammy Pancake and husband Rich of New Creek, Cindy Everett and husband Jerry of Oakland, MD, Kimberly Cooper and husband Carl of Oakland, MD, Tabatha Cook of Cumberland, MD, Jeannie Cummings and husband Craig of Nevada, one brother, LeRoy “Pistol” Cavey of Bloomington, MD, and a sister, Delores “Chip” Jones of Bloomington, MD. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Monday July 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
