Rita "Missie" Bittinger

Rita “Missie” (Mayhew) Bittinger, 67, of Cresaptown passed away on September 6, 2024 with her loving family at her side. 

Born on March 3, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Woodie (Paugh) Mayhew. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Bittinger; her son, Paul R. Bittinger, Jr.; her siblings, Roger “Jake” Mayhew, Mark Mayhew, and Wayne Mayhew; and grandson-in-law, Tyler. 

Missie loved God and was a faithful member of the Bonnieview Ministries, Keyser WV. She was a servant for many years in the nursing field. Missie was a caretaker for many loved ones in need. She was an animal lover, and especially loved her dogs. Missie was a devoted mom, sister, Mawmaw, great Mawmaw and aunt. Her loving, kind spirit will be greatly missed.  

Missie is survived by her daughters, Tawanna and husband Vince, and Jessica and husband David and former husband Rob; and her siblings, Ray Mayhew and Debbie Bolyard and husband, John. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kayla and husband J.R., Kazzie, Kameron, Kason, Hayli and significant other Coleman, Mckenna and significant other Taylor, Chloe, Aiden, Chad, Hailie and Carson; and her great grandchildren, Harper, Aliza, Karmen, Jaycee, Landon, Waylon, Noah, Walter and Quinton. Missie is survived by a large blended family to include many nieces, nephews, and special friends. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Thursday, September 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. 

A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 13th at Bonnieview Ministries, Keyser WV at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Fazzalore and the Rev. Daniel Garlitz officiating. 

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
