Richard John Newcomb

December 25, 1951 — February 17, 2026

Keyser, West Virginia

Richard Newcomb was called home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Patricia and John Newcomb; his sister, Nancy Newcomb; his wife Kim Newcomb; and his daughter, Jessica Newcomb.

He leaves behind two daughters, Casey Newcomb and Stephanie Newcomb; niece and nephews, Matthew Newcomb, John Newcomb, and Meaghen Newcomb, along with many grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Richard was born on December 25, 1951, in the UK. His name ended up in the record books for being the only baby born on Christmas day that year.

Richard was well known in Keyser for being the owner of Rick Newcomb’s Garage, a trustworthy mechanic with fair prices. Everyone who met him enjoyed his wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh. When he wasn’t working, he was busy enjoying family and the great outdoors. He liked hunting, camping, fishing, and family get togethers, but his favorite was riding around on his Harley. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was always ready and willing to tell stories about his time served. He was a man that people could look up to and respected. He meant so much to so many people and words completely fail to express just how much he will truly be missed.
