Richard Friend

Richard Charles Friend, 84, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at home.

Born January 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles Rufus Friend and Edna (Pratt) Friend. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Boal) Friend, and a sister, Peggy Stein.

Richard was a member of the Cornerstone Ministries Church, McCoole. He enjoyed fishing when he could and loved all things woodworking.

Richard leaves behind his daughter, Tammy Friend, and his adopted daughter, Susie Parsons, and husband, John, and a special “daughter”, Donna Martin, and husband, Leonard. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Laura Miller and husband, Craig, and John Parsons and wife, Ashley, and his three great-grandchildren; Haylee Miller, Josh Parsons, and Maddy Parsons. Richard is also survived by his special friend; Mary Parsons.

A visitation will be held at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, May 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 15, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Paul Allen officiating.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
