Rev. Charles Hood

Rev. Charles “Ed” Hood 89, of Huntington, widower of Dorothy Lee Hood, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born April 3, 1929 in Piedmont, WV, a son of the late Charles Percy and Mary Ellen Harrison Hood. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War, a retired supervisor with C&P Telephone, Co, and was a retired United Methodist minister. Survivors include one son, Charles W. Hood of Huntington; 6 grandchildren, James Edward Hood, Richard William Hood, Aaron Lee Hood, Charlie Lynn Hood, Susan Jade Hood, and Maranda Neshell Hood; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Lynn Hood, and Garette Lee Hood.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel following the visitation at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
