Randall Patrick Duckworth, 64, of Barton, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing.

Born August 31, 1950 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Patrick B. and Virginia A. (Llewellyn) Duckworth.

Randy was a 1968 graduate of Valley High School.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a coal miner having worked for Tri-Star Mining before eventually retiring from Western Correctional Institution as a Correctional Officer.  After retirement he enjoyed spending time helping friends at D & D Motors.  Randy was also a member of Barton American Legion Post #189.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda (Snyder) Duckworth, a daughter, Carrie McCutcheon and husband Wesley of Lonaconing, a son, Ryan Duckworth of Barton, and the apple of his eye, his grandson, Brady McCutcheon.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  Funeral and interment services will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Charlie Lyons officiating.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing, earmarked for the activities fund.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Egle Nursing Center for the compassionate care given to Randy during his stay there, especially Tammy DiNicola for her constant concern.
