Phyllis Miller

Westernport, MD

Phyllis Ann Miller, 89, of Westernport passed away January 17, 2017 at Moran Manor Nursing Center.

Born on December 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. Ravenscroft Sr. and Agnes (Riley) Ravenscroft. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Perry L. Miller; a daughter, Eileen Fischer; and her siblings, Frank Ravenscroft Jr., Elizabeth Lambert and Lois Ravenscroft.

Mrs. Miller was a long time member of the Westernport First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and a member of Stoney Run Baptist Church, where she was once the treasurer and a member of the choir. She was active in the PTA and the Westernport Homemakers Club. Mrs. Miller was a 1945 graduate of Bruce High School. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Judith Reynolds and husband, Dallas of Milton, DE, Carl Miller and wife, Martha of Barboursville, VA, Kenneth Miller of Warren, VT and Karen Perkins and husband, William of Hedgesville, WV; a sister, Helen Ravenscroft of Frostburg; and a son-in-law, William Fischer of Falling Waters, WV. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.
