Philip Leslie “Harpo” Saville, 57, of West Harrison St, Piedmont, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born August 1, 1956 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Elden and Carolyn (Harshbarger) Saville Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Elden Saville Jr.
“Harpo” was a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. He worked several years for Lumber-N-Things, Keyser. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grand babies. He was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont.
He leaves behind his long time companion, Kim Beeman, two sons, Philip Saville Jr. and wife Tracey of Piedmont, Paul Saville of Tennessee, two daughters, Liz Saville of Keyser, Tabitha Cuppett and husband Glenn of Oakland, MD, a brother, Charles Saville of Piedmont and a sister, Deloris Simon of Piedmont. He is also survived by a step son, Eric Beeman, four grandchildren, Damian Beeman, Allison Cuppett, Aiden Saville and Brooklynn Cuppett, his best friend and fishing buddy, Kip Price and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Friday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating.
“Harpo” will then be cremated and his ashes scattered along some of the rivers he loved to fish on.
