Paul Richard Roderick Sr., 82, of Wood St, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Center, Oakland.

Born November 11, 1933 in Westernport, he was the son of the late Leonard Carl and Edna Mae (Sollars) Roderick.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Roderick, and three brothers, Russell, Leonard, and Alvin Roderick.

Paul was a graduate of Bruce High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict with the 508th Airborne.  He previously worked for Crown Cork and McIntyre Bakery in his earlier years, along with Westvaco Paper with 15 years of service.  At one time he had his own trucking business, but was better known for having started Roderick Furniture in Westernport, retiring from there in 1987.  He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the former Tri-Towns Lions Club, a member of the Antique Car Club, a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his hobby of antique cars.

He leaves behind a son, Paul R. Roderick Jr. and wife Janet of Swanton, a daughter, Lisa L. Brenneman and husband Steve of Oakland, four grandchildren, Brian Roderick and wife Katy, Brad Roderick and wife Brandy, Britni Brenneman and fiancé Scott Beitzel, and Shanna Brenneman and companion J.C. Ritchie.  He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Hunter, Levi and Kylie Roderick.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, May 26th from 4 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 27th at 1:00 PM.

Interment will be in Moon Cemetery, Deer Park.
